Continental Family,
This year will be exciting for many different reasons. I am very excited for my second year as the Assistant Principal of Washington Middle School. It is easy to see that Washington is a school filled with wonderful students and staff who take pride in the school. Students and staff at Washington Middle School experience nothing short of warm welcomes and helping hands. Since beginning my career, I have most enjoyed working at the middle school level, so I am overjoyed to work with the students of WMS again this year.
I live in Newburgh, IN. I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching my children’s sports, grilling, working out and being outdoors. I have spent eight years serving the EVSC as a teacher, coach, master teacher and community outreach coordinator at Lincoln School. Last year was my first year at WMS. I know that my experiences will allow me to support the students and staff in a unique way. I believe that all students have the ability to be successful in school and it is the school staff’s responsibility to find ways to best support the needs of all students.
I have quickly learned that Mrs. Branson and the WMS staff have high expectations for all students. The teachers of Washington display an exceptionally high level of compassion, consistency, student support and a desire to provide a quality education to each and every student. I am overjoyed to continue working with the amazing individuals of WMS to provide support, guidance and learning experiences to the WMS students.
I am anticipating the opportunity to meet the families of WMS and learn more about them. If you have a question or concern, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Mr. Smith, Assistant Principal
